Consultation For Therapists Pursuing IFS Certification:
I've taken all three levels of IFS training, including Level 3 with Dick Schwartz, and I'm a Certified IFS Therapist and Approved Consultant for therapists and non-therapist practitioners who've completed at least a Level 1 IFS training and are fulfilling the requirements for certification. My work with the IFS model has grown and deepened as I've assisted at IFS trainings and also learned, through training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing, about the polvagal theory of the autonomic nervous system and the value of somatic work, the theory of structural dissociation, and attachment and developmental wounding and trauma. I bring this to the way I support consultees in developing their fluency with and confidence in using the model.
Sessions typically take place on Zoom, and include case consultation, discussion of questions about any and all aspects of the model, work with therapist parts, and enhancing knowledge and skills that will be evaluated for certification. Frequency of sessions depends on the consultee's needs. The fee for a 55 minute session is $150. Shorter or longer sessions are pro-rated accordingly.
If two or more therapists/practitioners are interested, I offer group consultation. I am maintaining an interest list for anyone who'd like to participate in an IFS consult group, so if you are interested in dyadic/group consultation, please use the form on my "Contact" page to send me an email. Length of group sessions depends on members' needs; rates depend on length of sessions.
Supervision and Consultation For Therapists Working With Disordered Eating:
As a firm believer in the promises of a life free from the pain and self-doubt an eating disorder inflicts, I want to help therapists recognize and understand all types of eating, weight and body image problems, and empower their clients to overcome them. I'm an Approved Supervisor for the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP), and I provide supervision for those working toward certification as Eating Disorders Specialists. I also offer supervision and consultation to therapists who aren't seeking IAEDP certification, but want assistance in working with clients who are experiencing problems relating to eating and body image.
Unless a supervisee is situated locally, I conduct supervision/consultation via Zoom. A session comprises education about diagnosis and etiology of eating disorders, discussion of treatment approaches, and case consultation. Frequency of sessions depends on the supervisee's or consultee's needs. The fee for a 55 minute session is $150. Shorter or longer sessions are pro-rated accordingly.
If two or more local therapists are interested, I offer group CEDS supervision. Dates, times and lengths of sessions TBD based on everyone's schedules.
Supervision for MFT Students and LMFT-A's:
I am an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. The supervision I provide meets all North Carolina supervision requirements for students in MFT graduate programs and LMFT-A's.
My supervision focuses on helping supervisees in understanding their experience of and increasing their effectiveness at working with clients (individuals, couples and families) from a systemic perspective, and consultation on the cases themselves. My approach is supportive and collaborative. My background in Internal Family Systems and the attachment-based focus of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy augment my grounding in Bowenian, structural and feminist family therapy theory.
Supervision takes place in person (on Zoom during COVID). Sessions are 60 minutes for up to 2 supervisees, and 75-90 minutes for groups of 3 or more, depending on the needs of the members.
Individual sessions are $110 for LMFT-A's and $95 for students. Two-person sessions are $60 per person for LMFT-A's and $50 per person for students, and groups of three or more are $55 for LMFT-A's and $45 per person for students. I am flexible with fees regarding to ability to pay, and will adjust fees accordingly upon request.
